Accounting you can inspect

Verify what reached your books

Compare Shopify-derived accounting with recorded Tally or Zoho Books totals. Surface differences for review and use voucher details to investigate.

Compare the accounting components

Review sales and returns with the supported shipping, discount, GST and net comparisons for the selected period and grouping.

  • The expected figures reflect configured accounting treatment, not an unqualified comparison with gross Shopify order totals.
  • Discount presentation is respected; a netted discount does not imply a missing separate ledger entry.
02

Check more than the sales total

After a day finishes syncing, Ledgeree checks supported accounting components and stores the result for review in Sync and Reconciliation.

  • Compare shipping, discounts, GST and rounding alongside sales and returns.
  • Review supported goodwill, gift-card liability and party or settlement-ledger checks.
  • Itemized Tally and Zoho shops can compare stock quantities per item.
  • Settlement-ledger checks compare accounting entries; they do not match bank deposits, processor payouts or courier remittances.
03

A difference you can investigate

Illustration: expected sales ₹10,000, shipping ₹500 and GST ₹1,890 gives net ₹12,390. If the ERP shows GST ₹1,880 and net ₹12,380, the ₹10 difference remains visible.

  • The difference identifies where to investigate; it does not establish the cause automatically.
  • Review source orders, refunds, posting status and associated ERP documents.
04

Trace orders and refunds

Voucher detail shows contributing orders, refund amounts and net values after refunds. Copy or download the details for your accountant.

  • Keep sales and later return events explainable.
  • Payment allocations, liabilities and goodwill should be reviewed in their appropriate accounting context.
05

Honest comparison status

An unsuccessful ERP read must not look like a zero difference. Inconsistent Books history is held for review rather than exported with misleading totals.

  • Reconciliation surfaces differences; it does not automatically repair every discrepancy.
  • This is accounting reconciliation, not bank-deposit, gateway-payout or COD-remittance matching.
